Finance Coordinator Sudan Kosti (National Position) –Advertisement

NRC resumed operations in Sudan in 2020, providing humanitarian assistance, protection, and durable solutions. Our country programme integrates all of NRC’s six core competencies (camp management, education, ICLA, livelihoods, shelter, and WASH), and provides a rapid response capacity (including for the recent refugee emergency in eastern Sudan), and thematic capacities for cash and markets-based approaches, advocacy, digital modes of assistance, and co-leading various technical and strategic coordination platforms.

Role Specific Information

The following is a brief description of the role.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Ensure that the accounting, monitoring and reporting are according to procedures
  2. Support project staff in financial matters
  3. Maintain budget control and monitor cash flow for the country program
  4. Ensure development and implementation of administrative systems and procedures
  5. Assist the FM to oversee the day to day Financial Operations of the Country Office
  6. Line management of the subordinate Finance Staff in the Country
  7. To be the designated Finance bank signatory for transactions within approved limits

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • At least 3 years experience from working as a Finance Coordinator in a humanitarian/recovery context

Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts

  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
  • Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal
  • Minimum of University degree in Finance, Economics and any other related course
