Description

  •        Establish the strategy and policy direction for internal and external communications of the group, including publicity and public relations, advertising, branding, and image management.
  •        Develop and implement brand management plans and ensure compliance across all businesses of the bank.
  •        Articulate clear brand goals and objectives and provide leadership for global brand management.
  •        Define clear corporate communications and advertising strategies and programs to achieve brand objectives.
  •        Evaluate program proposals and funding requests against bank criteria, drive CSR strategy, embed CSR into decision-making, manage local social reporting, enter alliances with international organizations and enhance visibility through CSR activities.
  •        Establish guidelines for and ensure compliance with brand standardization and quality control and audit.
  •        Articulate a clear program for corporate and product advertising.
  •        Establish overall strategy and program for community relations.
  •        Develop public relations and promotional strategies.
  •        Oversee corporate philanthropy programs and activities.
  •        Manage corporate communications and branding budget.
  •        Track brand/perception indicators against the bank’s brand goals and objectives.

Requirements

Minimum Education: A good first degree in any discipline. A relevant master’s degree or MBA will be an advantage.

Formal Training: A recognized professional certification will be an added advantage.

Minimum Experience: Minimum of 10 years cognate experience preferably in a bank or other financial institution, with a minimum of 6 years in a public relations function. Previous experience from a marketing and communications firm will be an added advantage.
