Plan International will be implementing a two and a half year project focused on accessing the rights to education and skills for work and life among adolescent girls, young women and young men in targeted communities of Western Samar, Philippines.

In this regard, Plan International invites highly competent, experienced and committed professionals to fill the following position:

Project manager :

The Project Manager leads the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of all project activities in the context of Child-Centered Community Development (CCCD) approach and gender responsiveness. He/she will develop and maintain strategic partnerships; leads in coordination and networking in pursuit of project goals and adherence to the grant requirements, agreements, and standards.

Some of the key responsibilities are :

  • Lead the baseline research/market assessment;
  • Develop and implement a staged work plan in line with the established funding and project requirements;
  • Manage the project budget according to the work and financial plan;
  • Leads team in the orientation, implementation, and monitoring of the project in all communities covered by the project, and;
  • Represents and promotes Plan in important events in the community, municipal, provincial, and regional levels.

Qualifications :

  • A graduate of Education, Social Science, or other related courses is a must. Advanced degree an advantage;
  • Has relevant training in program and project management, gender, community development, and rights-based programming;
  • Minimum of five years’ work experience in development work with relevant experience in program and project management and community development;
  • Solid experience with the handling of the project budget and work plans;
  • Has experience working with programs related to education and gender transformative programming;
  • Applicants must have the right to work in the Philippines without restrictions. Local applicants are preferred.
