What you will do

  • Contribute and lead team to achieve overall flawless operation / production / safety standards and KPIs as set by management for the grease plant
  • Operate the grease unit and oversees pre-blending activities
  • Responsible for determining and executing adjusments and development of the daily manufacturing plan
  • Coordinate the day-to-day blending, filling, bulk loading, transfer and receipt operations and ensure plant efficiency.
  • Provide training for operators on the use of grease manufacturing equipment and proper blending procedures and processes
  • Work with planners to achieve optimal production throughput within manning and operational constraints
  • Ensure products are produced on-spec, correctly packaged and labelled.
  • Ensure plant procedures, operations and documentation to be fully compliance with OIMS/ISO14001, QIMS/ISO 9001:2000, CIMS (Control Integrity Managment Systems) and ExxonMobil Standards on Control and HCP (Hydro Carbon System) procedures
  • Review OPEX regularly to ensure cost effectiveness
  • Ensure and enforce proper recording/accounting of raw materials used for manufacturing of products and distribution of finished products
  • Liaise with the maintenance and engineering team for major breakdown repairs, emergencies, and scheduled preventative maintenance activities
  • Review work processes, make recommendations and initiate changes to increase productivity.
  • Responsible for primary work permit approval for grease unit facility and support for lubricant units when necessary
  • Provide coverage for lubricant operations when required
  • Undertake any operational issues as assigned by shift supervisor.
  • Primary stand-in for shift supervisor when required. This includes leading the emergency response team.
  • Conduct work area security awareness and security equipment malfunction detection initiatives
  • Actively be involved in OIMS (Operational Integrity Management System )
  • Implement safety program by conducting periodic safety walks, site inspections and the safety stewardship process
  • Familiar with work permit requirements, information and requirements pertaining to the Exxonmobil and local regulation requirements
  • Ensure team members are continually updated on safety, security, health, and environmental information
  • Regularly encourages feedback from team members on ways to improve operational procedures that will contribute to better safety, security, health and the environment
  • Conduct coaching, training and appraisal for technicians
  • Review and ensure FTBR (First Time Blend Rate),  lead team to establish slop generation and slop consumption targets and execute optimization opportunities.
  • Familiar with product compatibility matrix and procedures
  • Participate in FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) development and documentation upkeep as needed
  • Participate in BPIMS/ISO9001:2000 assessment and follow-up on recommendation/action items for gap closures
  • Lead team to adhere to all established procedures/work instructions and maintain consistent high level of vigilance to meet HCP/CIMS requirements.

What you will need

  • A Degree in chemical or mechanical engineering
  • Possess leadership/administrative qualities.
  • A willingness to learn, strong ownership and drive
  • A Prior supervisory experience in LOBP (Lube Oil Blending Plant) operations is ideal but not mandatory
